TDS Meter

TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids. A TDS meter measures the number of dissolved solids like salts, minerals, bacteria or contaminants in liquids. It is mainly used to detect whether the water we are consuming is safe. A reading between 50-150 ppm (particles per million particles of water) is considered safe to drink. This is an essential tool to keep at home. When the water tastes odd or looks dirty, one can test to confirm whether the filtration system(like RO) needs servicing, a change of candles or any other replacement or service. When the reading is fine, we can drink the water with confidence !
