Rasgulla / Rosogulla

A very popular and light Indian dessert, Rasgulla (or Rosogulla) is made of Chenna ( cottage cheese ) and is especially popular in Bengal. Chenna( made by curdling milk with lime or curd) is kneaded into round balls. It is then cooked in thin sugar syrup till it is spongy. The flavours of green cardamoms, rose water and saffron make the chilled rasgulla such a yummy delight especially in summers.
