A step up voltage convertor is a very important device that allows us to use gadgets designed for US, in India. Electric and electronic gadgets in the US normally need 110 Volts whereas, in India they are designed to use 220 Volts. By using a step up voltage converter, the gadget can also be used in India. Similarly, a step down adaptor is needed to use gadgets made in India, in US.
